PROPOSAL art assignment IISPA
The municipality of Almelo asked for a striking work of art located on the forecourt of the new to build IISPA. The artwork should engage with the building and be created in consultation and cooperation with Koppert Koenis architects.
The building and the area are divided into facets. I associate this with a solidified movement. Movement and force are the inspirations for my concept for a big sculpture that also functions as a passage.

A passage is a symbol of transformation, like sports. Sports transforms the body and mind. The idea is based on the use of digitally generated images based on short movies, lighted by LED light technology. These images are generated by real-time registration of activities in the gym.
