KUNSTWERK VOORSCHOTERLAAN

For the Rotterdam public transport company (RET) I designed an artwork in Voorschoterlaan subway station in Rotterdam. The design for the entrance hall consists of 9 enamel steel panels and measures a total of 9.00 x 2.40 m. The other works were installed along the platform. Because the metrostation is located in the "butterfly area", this can be found as a symbol of transformation (vervoer!). In the designs we see the traveler transform into a butterfly. This can be seen as a flight to freedom from the shackles of everyday routine. Client: M2UUR.
